This is not insurance.

Read the details

MightyWELL is a healthcare platform that facilitates access to bundled healthcare programs administered by independent third-party organizations. ShareWELL is a voluntary health sharing community, not owned or operated by MightyWELL. Participation is voluntary and payment of medical expenses is not guaranteed. No individual component or combination of components is designed to function as comprehensive major medical insurance. In exchange, members typically pay far less per month, use any licensed provider, and have no coinsurance on everyday care.

Question about this? Ask Columbus Call 800-814-8864.

How your unshared amount works.

Read the details

You picked $2,500. On an eligible major event you are responsible for the first $2,500 of bills; once that is met and documented, the community shares the eligible expenses above it. Requests are per member, per incident. Bills must reach the unshared amount within 6 months. Non-emergency procedures need 2 weeks advance notice to ShareWELL. You present as a self-pay patient, and ShareWELL is secondary to any insurance you already have.

Question about this? Ask Columbus Call 800-814-8864.

Pre-existing conditions phase in over time.

Read the details

A condition is pre-existing if it was examined, treated, medicated, or symptomatic in the 24 months before your start date (37 months for cancer). Sharing for that condition on major events phases in by membership year. New conditions after enrollment are eligible from day one, and everyday care for any condition (visits, prescriptions, labs) runs through the copay side regardless.

Membership yearSharing for a pre-existing condition
Year 1Not eligible (waiting period)
Year 2Up to $30,000 per request
Year 3Up to $60,000 per request
Year 4Up to $150,000 per request
Year 5 and beyondNo limitation
Quick self-check: diagnosed, treated, or on medication for anything in the last 24 months?

Then the phase-in does not apply to you today. Anything new after your start date is eligible for sharing from day one, after your unshared amount.

Everyday care for it works normally from day one. A major event caused by that same condition follows the table. Controlled high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions, and type 2 diabetes are not treated as pre-existing if there was no hospitalization for it in the last 12 months. Not sure which bucket you are in? Call 800-814-8864 before you enroll. That is what the agents on standby are for.

Check your doctor and your prescriptions.

Optional, two minutes. You are not restricted to one network, but checking now means your first visit has zero surprises.

Your doctor

Open access: any licensed provider in the country, no referrals. Two partner networks carry pre-negotiated rates and simpler billing: PHCS (strongest on the East Coast and in metros) and Prime Health Services (the West and rural areas). Together they span all 50 states.

Your prescriptions

The ValuScript plan works at 65,000+ pharmacies. ACA preventive medications and the top 200 generics are $0; other generics $15, preferred brands $40, non-preferred $65, subject to plan limits. Specialty medications may fall outside the standard tiers. Your RX card lives in the app: show it at the pharmacy, pay the discounted price.

Enroll in the secure portal.

About 5 to 10 minutes on MightyWELL's enrollment portal, in three phases: Details, Benefits, Review. Here is exactly what it asks, so nothing catches you off guard.

Have these ready before you click

  1. 1Your Social Security number or TIN. The first portal screen asks for it, before plan selection. It is used for identity verification and membership records.
  2. 2Date of birth, phone, and email for each person being enrolled.
  3. 3A payment method for your first month.
  4. 4Your answers from the price tool. The portal asks again.
  5. 5Five minutes for the ShareWELL membership principles: community ethics, a statement that ShareWELL considers itself accountable to a higher power and welcomes all faiths, abstaining from illicit drugs and excessive alcohol, binding arbitration, and cooperating with bill negotiation.

When you tap Go to Secure Enrollment, we will ask if you are working with an agent and open the right enrollment link for you.

Quick answers

Is MightyWELL traditional major medical insurance?

No. MightyWELL is a healthcare platform that combines multiple third-party healthcare components. The ShareWELL component is a voluntary health sharing arrangement and is not insurance.

Does ShareWELL automatically pay every hospital bill?

No. ShareWELL reviews sharing requests under its Member Guidelines. The member must meet the applicable unshared amount and follow eligibility, documentation, coordination, and other guideline requirements. Certain services have limits, allowances, waiting periods, or may be ineligible.

What is not shared?

Mental health treatment (except one lifetime ER event up to $10,000), routine dental and vision, fertility and IVF, birth control, elective procedures, and complications from weight-loss drugs unless prescribed for diabetes. There is a 90-day initial ineligibility window for gallbladder, kidney stones, cancer, tumors, and female reproductive organ conditions. Some categories carry per-request allowances, such as recovery therapies ($3,500), injections and regenerative procedures ($5,000), non-emergency ER ($10,000), and home healthcare ($3,000).

How does maternity work?

One unshared amount covers the whole maternity journey, with a prenatal and postnatal allowance up to $6,000 and no sharing limit on delivery services. Pregnancy-related complications are eligible, and newborn congenital conditions are eligible up to $125,000 if the baby is added within 30 days. Conception within 30 days of your start date is not eligible, and the Maternity Sharing Request must be filed within 15 days of confirming the pregnancy.

Where is the full bundle guide?

The Concierge Membership Bundle Guide (version 3, revised 2026) is the authoritative document for every figure on this page. Read the guide (PDF). The ShareWELL Member Guidelines are published at sharewellhealth.org.

Is there life insurance with this?

Not in the bundle. MightyWELL separately offers QoL Term Life with Living Benefits, which is real insurance: a cash benefit of up to $2 million that can be accessed on a qualifying chronic, critical, or terminal diagnosis. It is quoted and underwritten on its own. Learn about Living Benefits.

Why does the price not require my email?

Because you should be able to see the number before anyone knows who you are. If you want your quote emailed to you, there is an optional link on the price screen. Otherwise no contact information is collected until you start the secure application.
